Turner hails Pools effort

Michael Nelson's 49th-minute header and a stunning strike from substitute David Foley sent the Potters on their way and left the former Manchester United and Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper, currently in interim charge at Victoria Park, in raptures.
Turner, who won the League Cup with Wednesday in 1991, said: "As a coach, manager, it was a fantastic afternoon. I couldn't have asked any more of the individuals."
He added: "They worked extremely hard. They were up against a very strong, powerful team, but they stuck at their task and were very concentrated and disciplined and worked extremely hard to get that result.
"It's the best feeling, when the whistle went, I have ever felt even though as a player, I have played and won at Wembley."
Pulis was philosophical in defeat after making seven changes to the side which lost at West Ham on Sunday and seeing his slide slip to a fourth successive loss in all competitions.
He said: "It was disappointing. I didn't think there was much in the game in the first half - if anything, I thought we were the better team.
"Then when they got their goal, from that point onwards, I thought Hartlepool were the better team and deserved to win."
