United boss makes Campbell pledge

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed his intention to bring Fraizer Campbell back to Manchester United next summer.

Campbell joined Tottenham on loan for a year as part of the deal which saw Dimitar Berbatov head to Old Trafford in a club record £30.75million deal. And although the England Under-21 striker has thrived under new Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, Ferguson has quashed any talk of selling Campbell to the Londoners.

"Fraizer will come back here, there is no question about that," said the United boss. "The idea for him was to get some experience, so it has been good for him in that respect."

He added: "He has produced some fantastic performances for Tottenham and I am delighted for the boy because he is going to be a good player. His future is here."
