United youngsters set to shine - Evans

Providing he gets the green light to have a couple more pain-killing jabs in his ankle, Evans will be part of the United side that tackles Tottenham in the Carling Cup Final on Sunday alongside fellow youngsters Darron Gibson, Danny Welbeck, Ben Foster and possibly even Fabio Da Silva to form a quintet with just 47 appearances between them this season.
"Most of the lads don't get nervous. People talk about inexperience but, as long as your concentration is good and you do the basics right it should be fine." he said.
"You don't want to get carried away on the ball and try to beat people at the back. It's best to keep everything nice and simple."
Not that Evans is quite the inexperienced newcomer he is being described as.
Although the number of games he has played for United is not extensive, the Belfast-born star had a couple of spells on loan at Sunderland, including the latter half of last season, which have given him a detailed knowledge of life in the top flight.
"People say I was a rookie defender when I came into the team but we had a lot of tough games at Sunderland last season," he said.
"Playing against Chelsea and Arsenal when you are near the bottom of the Premier League isn't easy.
"Of course, we have good players here which does make it easier. They have helped me and I have gained confidence from that."
