Wakefield still in the frame

England's Simon Wakefield, seeking his first European Tour win in 181 attempts, was still sharing the lead after seven holes of his final round in the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles.

Joint top overnight with Fredrik Andersson Hed, Wakefield had another Swede as his main challenger when Martin Erlandsson had two eagles in reaching the turn in 31 and then added a birdie on the 14th.

They were both 10 under, Wakefield having picked up his first birdie with a tee shot to four feet on the short sixth, with Andersson Hed one behind.
