Wasps destroy Scarlets

Wasps were never in any danger of suffering the same fate as Leicester, who were knocked out after Saturday's defeat to Edinburgh, and travel to Munster knowing victory will book them a place in the quarter-finals.
Fraser Waters, Phil Vickery, Dave Doherty, Dominic Waldouck, Rob Hoadley and Paul Sackey all went over for Wasps with Danny Cipriani kicking four conversions and Doherty also adding two points with the boot. Deacon Manu registered the Scarlets' only score which was converted by Rees Priestland.
Such are the complicated permutations in the so-called 'group of death' that even a narrow defeat at Thomond Park could give them a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages.
Given how tight it is in Pool Five, it was imperative Wasps earned a bonus point in beating the struggling Scarlets - and it was in the bag before half-time.
Waters went over after just five minutes with Cipriani converting before Vickery also registered a score although the kick for the extras was missed the second time.
Deacon then went over and Priestland kicked the two for Llanelli to reduce the deficit to 12-7 but Wasps found another gear and converted scores from Doherty and Waldouck had them in control at the interval.
Hoadley then touched down for a further converted score before Sackey compounded the misery in the 70th minute with a score converted by Doherty following Cipriani's substitution.
