Wenger keeping it real

The Gunners made it 12 straight wins in all competitions as Slavia Prague were swept aside 7-0 at the Emirates Stadium - a result which equals the Champions League record for the margin of victory.
"The signs are very encouraging and we start on Sunday with a big game," said Wenger, whose Premier League table-toppers now head to Anfield this weekend. "I am very confident, but it is still too early. In the next month we will know more, because we have eight out of 10 games away."
Theo Walcott weighed in with two goals, as did Cesc Fabregas and both young men continue to earn the plaudits.
Wenger, though, knows full well there is a lot of football left to be played before there can be any genuine talk about a return to the glory days of his 'Invincibles'.
Wenger added: "We just remind everybody that two months ago I was crazy not to buy players and we were not even rated to be in the top seven.
"We have no reason to be carried away, because exactly the same people who will now say we can win the European Cup said we would finish 15th two months ago.
"We have to be realistic and just prepare for the next game and show we can win it."
Wenger is in no doubt the world is very much at Walcott's feet.
"I believe he has the talent, that is why he is at Arsenal," said the French coach. "The problem is not to hurry too much. He is improving - but you need to be patient."
