England have 13 players in their 2007 World Cup squad who picked up winners' medals in Australia four years ago, and White feels that will give the holders the upper hand psychologically this weekend.

"They have a group of players who have won a World Cup," he said. "They have a huge advantage in that they can have team meetings and talk about what happens in the build-up to a World Cup final."

He added: "I've only got one guy in my staff in Eddie Jones, who is helping me unbelievably in terms of preparation.

"I can only imagine what sort of advantage they have with guys like Lawrence (Dallaglio) and (Martin) Corry talking, and (Phil) Vickery and maybe (head coach) Brian Ashton talking.

"Even a guy like Josh Lewsey, although he is not playing this weekend (because of a hamstring injury), I am sure he will play a major role in their preparation.

"That is a massive advantage for them.

"And they must be in a great mindset. They were dead and buried a couple of weeks ago, and then they beat Australia and France on consecutive weekends.

"It's going to be a completely different outing for us than in the pool game."
