Wigan raced into an 18-0 lead inside half an hour through Sean O'Loughlin, Pat Richards and Gareth Hock before Sean Long briefly sparked a fightback six minutes before the break.
However, Sam Tomkins then made the break that set up the position for older brother Joel to score a fourth try on the stroke of half-time. Thomas Leuluai grabbed the fifth try and Richards claimed his second after Leon Pryce and Paul Wellens had added a touch of respectability to the scoreline.
Earlier, Paul Sykes scored a hat-trick as Bradford produced a late flourish to hold off battling Wakefield.
The Wildcats dominated for long spells and were denied three times by video referee Richard Silverwood as they battled back from 20-6 down to get within four points.
But Michael Worrincy finished off the Wildcats five minutes from time before Sykes darted over for his third in the closing moments of a 32-16 win.
Harlequins had opened up the weekend in Edinburgh with a 24-16 win over Salford at Murrayfield.
Richard Myler's quick thinking had earned Salford a 10-6 lead at one stage, before second-half tries from David Howell and Luke Dorn earned Harlequins the points.
Salford coach Shaun McRae was furious that a glaring knock-on by Quins prop Danny Ward in the build-up to Dorn's try was missed by the officials.
