Windass set for Hull return

The 39-year-old striker joined the Coca-Cola League One club on loan in January after growing frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities with Barclays Premier League Hull.
But Windass has now fallen out of favour at Boundary Park and, after Joe Royle replaced John Sheridan as manager on Sunday, he has been given permission to return to Hull to discuss his future.
Regulations forbid Windass, who is out of contract this summer, from playing league football for Phil Brown's side again this season but he has been linked with a coaching role.
Tigers assistant manager Brian Horton said: "Deano has gone there, it hasn't worked out.
"At the moment it's being worked out between Phil Brown and the manager (Joe Royle) where he can go. We'll have to see what he can do. Can he come back? Can't he come back?
"There are stories in the paper that he could be coaching but nothing has been resolved at the moment.
"He can't play in the Premier League. We are trying to find out if he can come back and play in the reserves."
The matter is unlikely to be resolved before Hull's FA Cup quarter-final at Arsenal on Tuesday.
Windass wrote his name into Hull folklore by scoring the winning goal for his hometown club in last year's Championship play-off final at Wembley.
