Wolves to offload overseas trio

Warrington are to reluctantly part company with overseas trio Chris Leikvoll, Brent Grose and Henry Fa'afili because of salary-cap constraints.

The Wolves have reached their spending limit following the acquisition of Australian Test centre Matt King, New Zealand Warriors loose forward Louis Anderson and Manly duo Michael Monaghan and Chris Hicks.

Coach Paul Cullen said: "Chris, Henry and Brent are consummate professionals, both on and off the field, who have served Warrington Wolves with great distinction. The cap simply dictates that we can't have everyone that we want. The club reluctantly accepts that our loss will be another club's gain."

Prop forward Leikvoll has made 89 appearances since joining the club from St George Illawarra in 2004, ex-New Zealand Warriors winger Fa'afili has scored 72 tries in 92 appearances and former South Sydney full-back or winger Grose has scored 58 tries in 135 appearances.

Fa'afili, 27, a former Kiwi Test winger, is thought to have attracted the interest of Bradford.

Warrington are also parting company with half-back or hooker Michael Sullivan, who has agreed a contract with Canterbury Bulldogs.
