Wood out for the season

Warrington prop Paul Wood will miss the rest of the season after it was confirmed he suffered a severe shoulder dislocation in Friday's 34-22 defeat by Huddersfield.

Wood is likely to undergo surgery but initial fears that he had also suffered an upper arm fracture were dispelled following X-rays.

He joins team-mates Paul Johnson, Stuart Reardon, Mike Sullivan and Mike Cooper on the sidelines.

Vinnie Anderson, Chris Bridge and Simon Grix, who sat out the Huddersfield match, all remain injury doubts for Friday's trip to St Helens, and Paul Rauhihi is facing the threat of suspension after being charged with a dangerous tackle against the Giants.

However, Great Britain forward Adrian Morley, who was placed on report for a third high tackle in Friday's game, has been told he has no case to answer.
