Woods stays in touch

Tiger Woods parred the 12th hole to remain three strokes behind leader Geoff Ogilvy when play finally resumed in the third round at the CA Championship on Sunday.

Persistent rain and thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon prevented most of the field from completing the round on schedule.

Play was set to resume at 8.30am on Sunday, but finally began 30 minutes later when Doral Resort's Blue Monster was finally deemed to be playable.

Ogilvy, Adam Scott and Woods resumed on the 12th tee, and all three parred the hole, although Woods will be kicking himself after missing a 12-foot birdie chance.

That left Ogilvy at 14 under, one stroke ahead of fellow Australian Scott.

Vijay Singh moved into third place with a birdie at the last to shoot 63 and post a 12-under 204 total, with Woods 11 under along with fellow American Jim Furyk (15 holes) and Englishman Graeme Storm (16 holes).

With skies clearing after some overnight rain, it seemed likely the tournament would be completed on Sunday, although perhaps a little later than scheduled.
