A press conference has been planned at which it is thought they will reveal new evidence which contradicts their assertion that Woolmer had been killed.
Woolmer's body was discovered the morning after Pakistan had been knocked out of the World Cup. His death overshadowed the tournament and the Pakistan players were questioned.
If, as local reports suggest, he is found to have died of natural causes, attention will fall on the Jamaican investigators, in particular deputy police commissioner Mark Shields.
The Pakistani cricket authorities have said that if Mr Woolmer's death is confirmed as being of natural causes, they will expect a public apology to the players for unfairly casting suspicion on them.
They are also considering legal action.
