Zaki set for Wigan move

Egypt striker Amr Zaki is set to complete his move to Wigan early next week after passing a medical on Thursday night.

The 25-year-old is understood to be close to sealing a season-long loan move to the JJB Stadium from Zamalek with a view to a permanent deal next summer.

"Zaki will return home on Saturday after passing the medical," his agent Mohamed Saied told www.filgoal.com.

"He will pen his Wigan contract on Monday. The club will then hold a press conference to reveal the full details of the deal."

Zaki would become manager Steve Bruce's third signing of the summer after former Birmingham duo Olivier Kapo and Daniel de Ridder.
