Credit Suisse boss picks up £10m package

12.05.08

Credit Suisse boss Brady Dougan collected more than £10 million in pay and bonuses last year.

That was despite a 72% drop in post-tax profits as a result of the credit crunch, and the bank announcing its first quarterly loss for the start of this year.

American Dougan, who became chief executive a year ago, received Swfr3.4 million (£1.7 million) in cash and Swfr17.9 million in share-based bonuses. He also got almost Swfr1 million in perks.

Credit Suisse chairman Walter Kielholz's total package dropped from Swfr16 million in 2006 to Swfr14.6 million in 2007.
