Economy worries hit the pound again
Evening Standard 3 Jun 2008The pound fell against the dollar again today amid rising concern about the state of the UK economy.
Sterling was down 0.34 cents at $1.9626, having yesterday plunged to a two week low of $1.9597 before clawing back some of its losses.
The sell-off was sparked by the crisis at buy-to-let lender Bradford & Bingley and the slowdown in the wider property market.
