JP Morgan: bank could be about to lose one of its key dealmakers

JP Morgan 'may lose' top dealer Hannam

Evening Standard   4 Aug 2008

Speculation was mounting today that JP Morgan Cazenove may be set to lose top dealmaker and fee earner, Ian Hannam.

The man behind the flotations of some of the biggest mining companies on the London stock market and the merger of NTL and Virgin Mobile, is said to be "contemplating his future" after he missed out on the top job at the firm.

JP Morgan Cazenove hired former Barclays finance director Naguib Kheraj as chief executive last week. Hannam who is on holiday is said to be considering resigning unless he is offered a "substantial olive branch."
