DMGT and Channel 4 may sell stakes in ITN

Independent Television News, which makes ITV's News at 10 and Channel 4 News, could be up for sale.

ITV, which owns a 40 per cent stake, and Daily Mail and General Trust, which holds 20 per cent, both signalled today they are willing to sell the privately held firm.

ITN wants to raise cash to expand internationally.
