A collapse in the number of people jetting off on European package holidays this Easter has continued to create a hole in the operations of airports group BAA.
The number of passengers using Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted dived 6.8% over March and April, leaving numbers down for the year so far 7.8%.
BAA's figures show a near 10% fall in the number of passengers on European charter flights. UK domestic services and flights across the Atlantic fell by 7.6%.
Up-for-sale Gatwick and Stansted, both reliant on holiday traffic, fell by 11.5% and 14% respectively this year. Heathrow is down 4%.

All the airports want extra runways, and they're all losing money. We should tell them where to go.
