Royal Mail boss Adam Crozier claims £1.3m package
14.05.09
It was hair-shirt time at the Royal Mail, although chief executive Adam Crozier still managed a pay packet for the year of £1.3 million.
Crozier caused a storm a year ago when he pocketed more than £3 million and was snapped soon after enjoying a Caribbean holiday at the exclusive Sandy Lane hideaway on Barbados.
Royal Mail claimed Crozier's pay this year has been trimmed by more than two thirds to less than £1 million.
On top of a £633,000-a-year salary, he received £206,000 to put in his pension, £17,000 of other perks and what appears to be a performance bonus apparently pegged back to £139,000.
However, closer inspection shows that Crozier has deferred a further £314,000 bonus. The average Royal Mail worker is paid £23,000.

As a royal mail employee and postman of eight years i find this disgusting!!! We work hard on deliveries day in day out only to be told we are over paid and under worked by the managment. It's not us posties at grass roots level causing the problems it's the management, they are useless and make very bad decesions for the business and us posties seem to be the one's that suffer. Why is Crozier rewarded with bonuses when all we hear from him is how the business is failing so badly.Crozier should resign ...He messed up at the F.A with sven another money grabber and now along with the so called labour party he wnats to sell off another public service , do i need to remind you want happened with the banks!!!!!
