Lions chief to take a shot at heading Shed
27 May 2009If Shed Media, the TV production company based in Islington, ever decides to revive its hit series Footballers' Wives it will need to go no further than its new chairman's office for the latest storyline.
That's assuming Heather Rabbatts has got over this weekend's football result at Wembley stadium. That saw Scunthorpe beat Millwall, which she runs as executive deputy chairman, 3-2 with a late goal in the League One play-off final, thus denying the Lions promotion.
Rabbatts has previously run Lambeth and Merton councils and headed Channel 4's education coverage. She replaces Katherine Innes Ker, who stepped down as chairman of the TV firm which also makes Waterloo Road, New Tricks and Bad Girls, early next month.
Shed has appointed two new non-executive directors including Coline McConville, who sat on the board of HBOS until early this year, and Marc Watson, a top BT executive.
