Jobs go as St Ives warns of a letdown

Printing group St Ives today warned this year's profits would fall "substantially below" City forecasts, and said it will close two plants with the loss of 210 jobs.

The group is being hit by reduced demand for marketing literature from corporate customers. Plants in Crayford, Kent, and Andover, Hampshire, will shut while it is consolidating its central London operations with the loss of 40 jobs.
