Hedge fund chief’s pay cheque halves

Peter Clarke, chief executive of the UK's largest hedge fund manager, Man Group, had his pay chopped by 52% last year after MG's profits tumbled by 40%.

Clarke's annual bonus was slashed from $10.7 million (£6.7 million) to just $6 million, taking his total package down from $14.5 million to $6.9 million.

Clarke wasn't alone. Across the group bonuses fell from £436 million to £250 million.
