Hovis feeds sales at Premier Foods
29 Jun 2009Premier Foods, the UK's biggest foodmaker, today said business in May and June was "in line with trends seen in the first four months of 2009" when sales were up 3%.
It attributed the fillip to growing demand for Hovis bread since its "Go On Lad" advertising campaign featuring a boy running through the ages to the present.
The City forecasts profits of £170 million against £183 million last time.
