Henderson doing well with New Star

Fund manager Henderson today said its integration of the recently acquired New Star business was progressing well although group profits for the half-year will be significantly lower than a year ago.

Henderson, which bought John Duffield's New Star for £107 million, when it was on the brink of collapse in April, said it had retained more clients and management fees than it had expected.
