Clients pull billions out of Aberdeen

Aberdeen Asset Management today revealed clients withdrew another £2.2 billion in the third quarter — taking the total net withdrawals up to £10.7 billion for the first nine months of the year.

Past problems at its fixed income division fuelled the flow of funds away from Aberdeen, although assets under management jumped from £96.3 billion to £129.2 billion following the acquisition of funds from Credit Suisse.
