Mecom’s profits are slashed by ads blow
6 Aug 2009Former Mirror newspapers chief David Montgomery today said advertising revenues at his Mecom empire of newspapers on the continent were stabilising, although they were still down 22% in the first half of the year.
Underlying profits halved to €52 million (£44 million). He has sold a host of the group's titles and launched savage cost-cutting.
