Sales crash at Abercrombie & Fitch
14 Aug 2009Abercrombie & Fitch, supplier of pricy casualwear to City bankers' teenage children, today said like-for-like sales had crashed 30% in the second quarter.
It has been hit hard by the steep recession in the US, where consumers have been keeping their wallets firmly shut.
However, the company which runs a flagship store in the West End and a handful of Hollister-branded shopping mall stores here, said it wanted to continue its international expansion.

Perhaps some recent bad publiciity hasn't helped matters.
People don't appreciate that only those with 'the look' are who matter.
