Carillion in £1bn Openreach deal

Construction giant Carillion today signed a £1 billion deal with Openreach, the phone engineers which look after the BT network.
A joint venture between Carillion and telent, which instals and maintains communications links for the emergency services, will work in Openreach's five regions including London, the home counties and the south-east.
The work will include installing networks for Openreach.
