M&S to flag up foreign growth
12 Oct 2009Marks & Spencer is expected to give broad hints of a big push overseas and an expansion of its internet operations tomorrow, in an investor presentation being billed by some as a beauty parade of potential new chief executives.
The company is remaining fairly tight-lipped about the session although finance director Ian Dyson has said he will be discussing “developments” outside the UK. The speculation follows M&S's loss of sales growth to cut-price food and clothing rivals like Primark and Asda.
Analysts and investors will gather in White City for presentations from Dyson, clothing head Kate Bostock and food boss John Dixon.
