‘Too slow’ Nestlé boss takes blame

Nestlé's chief executive Paul Bulke today admitted that he had been too slow in reacting to price cuts from rivals like Danone, Kraft and Britain's Unilever, leading to slowing sales growth for the huge foods group.

The Nestlé boss said that he should have seen the threat of losing market share sooner. “We should have engaged faster... with more intensity in our reaction,” he told the Wall Street Journal.
