Ethel collapse threatens 3,700 jobs

More than 3,700 jobs were at risk today after cheap womenswear chain Ethel Austin went into administration for the second time in two years.
Restructuring firm MCR has taken control of the retailer and its sister chain Au Naturale, and is seeking a buyer. Ethel was hit by poor trading over Christmas, and claims snow in the new year exacerbated its problems.
