Alan Curbishley under the cosh

Curbishley's position is coming into question following another shocking display, this time against arch-rivals Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
After being outplayed by Chelsea and Liverpool in their previous two games, West Ham fans must have been expecting an improved performance, but it was the same old story as their team sank to another heavy defeat.
Green sympathises with fans who walked out before the end of the game, but feels they should remember the job Curbishley did in helping to keep them in the top flight last season.
Green said: "I don't think it would help anyone. You can understand the frustration and the disappointment with the performances that have been put in. It hurt us because two out of the three came against London rivals. It is not what you associate with West Ham United, losing games like that.
"The lads are bitterly disappointed. We played Chelsea last week and it is disappointing when you turn around and are playing the last 20 minutes to half a crowd. We played against Tottenham this weekend and you look towards the West Ham fans with five minutes to go and it is half full, but rightly so. People vote with their feet and it is disappointing for everyone.
"It has been a horrific week and everyone will get flak for it. We are under no illusions about that. But we are in tenth place and it is a massive step in the right direction from where we were last year. We can go and do something about that until the end of the season."
The club's owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson has already dispensed with the services of chairman Eggert Magnusson and taken a more hands-on role.
He is believed to be less than happy with the massive outlay and wages spent on players who have spent most of the season injured.
Green has started to question his own form after conceding 12 goals in three games. He said: "I don't think I have ever had a week like this in football and I think that goes for many of the lads in the dressing room."
