90 free tickets to visit the London 2012 Olympic Stadium

08.07.09

The London 2012 Open Weekend - supported by BP - will see events held across the UK between 24 and 26 July that allow the public to try a new sporting or cultural activity or to gain access to landmarks or parts of venues not normally open to the public.

To celebrate Open Weekend, London 2012 are opening up the Olympic Stadium on Sunday 26 July 2009 for an exclusive first-hand view of the construction progress achieved to date. Be one of the first members of the public to stand in the Olympic Stadium.

Visitors will have the opportunity to access the viewing platform in South Stand of the Olympic Stadium and take part in a souvenir photograph that will be made available, free of charge, to each winner and their guest the week following the event. From the viewing platform, visitors will be able to see where the running track and field of play will be located and how construction is progressing. Guides will be on hand to discus the unique features of the Olympic Stadium that lies at the heart of the Olympic Park and the place where the eyes of the world will turn on 27 July 2012 as London's Opening Ceremony begins.

We have 45 pairs of tickets available for use on Sunday 26 July 2009. The visit will last one hour and an arrival time will be allocated in advance to each winner and their guest.

See www.london2012.com/openweekend for more info on London 2012 Open Weekend.

It will be a great opportunity for me and my family to have a glimpse of what the Olympic site will look like in 2012. Also, to find out how the Olympics will benefit us as residents of London Borough of Newham.

- Becky Olodo, London England

My teenager and Litttle 5 yr old will be thrilled and honoured to view the new olympics stadium.

- Geraldine Seah, Gants Hill,Ilford, Essex

It would be a pleasure to be chosen as one of the few,
to experience this historical moment.

- Vivienne Mitchell, london, england

I would like to see how the Olympic development is progressing and see how the Olympics will benefit the Borough of Newham.

I would also be interested in seeing how the transport system will cope with such a large amount of visitors during the Olympics and how each of the different venues will be allocated for different Olympic events.

This is a unique opportunity to have a great insite into a historical event.
