Terry targets Estonia

9 Oct 2007

England captain John Terry is determined to line up for his country against Estonia on Saturday.

National team boss Steve McClaren may decide to rest the Chelsea defender, who is one booking away from a suspension and still recovering from a fractured cheekbone, to make sure he is available for the second Euro 2008 qualifier in this international break against Russia in Moscow a week on Wednesday.

Terry, who wore a protective mask in his last two games for Chelsea told the Daily Express: "My body is holding up fine. I am just delighted to be out there. I will do my best to make sure I am fit to be there week in, week out."

He added: "We will have a chat, but it is all about England and what is best and right for the team, whether it is me, Rio (Ferdinand), Ashley (Cole) or Joe (Cole). We are all on bookings."
