Injury concern: John Terry was forced off at half-time against France

Terry and Lampard in Chelsea fitness fight

Avram Grant could be without John Terry and Frank Lampard for Sunday's vital match with Middlesbrough.

The Chelsea manager could see his team fall eight points behind leaders Manchester United who play Aston Villa in the late kick-off on Saturday.

Grant will be thankful his players do have an extra 24 hours to recover for their clash at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard didn't even make it to the Stade de France for last night's 1-0 defeat by the French as he was confined to his hotel bed with a nasty stomach bug.

Terry was forced off at half-time with what was described as a "hamstring strain".

Joleon Lescott was brought on to replace the Chelsea defender as a precaution but Grant will be concerned that two of his key men are doubts for the weekend.

Rio Ferdinand played the full 90 minutes for England but appeared to pick up a knock late in the game that will concern his boss Sir Alex Ferguson as the title race enters its final phase.
