Emmanuel Adebayor today insisted Arsenal will repeat their AC Milan heroics and end Liverpool's Champions League dream on their own ground.

Arsenal go to Anfield next Tuesday as underdogs but Adebayor believes the team has proven they are most dangerous when the odds are against them.

Arsene Wenger's side were written off in the last 16 after they drew 0-0 with AC Milan at home, only to stun the rest of Europe with a sensational 2-0 victory in the San Siro.

Adebayor, who scored the opening goal before Dirk Kuyt equalised, believes Arsenal will match that performance to silence the Kop.

He said: "We can get the big results when they're required and we showed that in Milan. When people write us off we have it in our minds to show them that they're wrong.

"We did that against Milan and now it's another challenge against Liverpool, but we just have to believe in ourselves. If we play our style of football we will get a lot of chances to put them under pressure. A lot of people said we couldn't win in Milan and we did, so we will just keep doing what we do best and keep our focus. We are sure we can do something there."

Captain William Gallas, who was in the Chelsea side that lost to Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final in 2005, feels Arsenal will have to show more fight than his former club did three years ago.

He said: "We know that to win will be difficult for us because the support will be behind them. It is difficult to play there so we have to be stronger.

"When we go there we have to play with joy and enjoy our football. I think all the boys are ready for the big fight, because it will be a big fight.

"We know we can do it because earlier in the season we went there in the Premier League, scored, and got a 1-1 draw.

"We have been very good during the whole season, but if we won there it would be magnificent. Last season we didn't reach the quarter-final so at the moment we're doing better, but if we can get to the semi-final that would be great. We don't want to give up."
