Kaboul keen on switch to Portsmouth

Evening Standard   23 May 2008

Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul is hoping Portsmouth will rescue him from White Hart Lane.

Kaboul, signed from Auxerre for £8.2m last year, is eager to leave after being frozen out by Juande Ramos.

The 22-year-old has confirmed Portsmouth are leading the race for his signature and said: "It is true they may be showing the determination to secure my services. We will see."

Meanwhile, Tottenham are believed to be closing in on the signing of French international keeper Gregory Coupet from Lyon for £2.5m.
