Andy Murray today insisted a high Wimbledon seeding will not give him an easy route to Grand Slam glory.

The All England Club are set to unveil the list of the top 32 players in the men's and women's draws today, with Murray expected to be seeded around No12. Murray is ranked at No11 but his seeding is expected to be affected by the Club's policy of taking recent grass-court performance into account - making last year's absence through injury potentially significant.

But Murray said: "I won't look at the draw too much. The problem is now, like at the Australian Open where I played Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the first round. At the time that would have seemed like a decent draw. Then the guy ends up making the final.

"Nowadays, there are so many of the guys who can play well like [Ernests] Gulbis who I played at Queen's last week had a good run at the French Open.

"You have just got to concentrate on each match. You know what is going on around you but you don't look too far ahead."

Murray came through his first match since sustaining a thumb injury at Queen's Club by defeating Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic 6-3, 5-7, (12/10) at the Boodles Challenge Event in Buckinghamshire.

Despite one or two minor scares, Murray battled through to win a match that served as ideal preparation ahead of his assault on the Wimbledon title.

"It was good - I hadn't been on the court for pretty much four days since Queen's so it was nice to just get out there, play a competitive match and get moving again.

"I will spend most of my time down at Wimbledon practising with the guys that are down there, rest up and make sure my body is in good shape for the start of the tournament."
