Setbacks: Jeremy Noseda appears to have shut his Newmarket yard

Noseda has blank week after Royal Ascot failure

Trainer Jeremy Noseda appears to have shut down his Newmarket yard following a series of setbacks at Royal Ascot last week.

Beaten King's Stand Stakes favourite Fleeting Spirit was the best of his eight runners at the Royal meeting finishing third to Equiano but, after particularly disappointing efforts by Sixties Icon, Secret World and Glamorous Spirit on Wednesday, Noseda withdrew all his other runners including Soldier's Tale in Saturday's Golden Jubilee Stakes, won so impressively by Kingsgate Native.

Following Fleeting Spirit's run, Noseda said: "I have had a few horses a bit out of sync lately."

Noseda sent out 12 winners in May but has had only two victories in June and has no horses entered to run anywhere this week.
