Eyes on the prize: Jamie Murray and mixed doubles partner Liezel Huber are through to the semi-finals

Jamie stays on course for double glory

03.07.08

There was one Murray winner at Wimbledon last night, as Jamie stayed on course for another mixed doubles' title.

While British No1 Andy was losing to Rafael Nadal, Jamie and partner Liezel Huber beat second seeds Daniel Nestor and Chia-Jung Chuang 6-4, 7-5 to reach the semi-finals.

The No12 seeds raced into a 5-1 lead in the first set and, although they then stuttered, they recovered to close it out.

Murray and Huber fell 4-2 behind in the second set before rallying to win five of the last six games.

The Briton - winner of the 2007 title with Jelena Jankovic - and his American partner will now face either No9 seeds Andy Ram and Nathalie Dechy or Bob Bryan and Samantha Stosur, who are due to play their quarter-final today.
