Didier Drogba could be about to perform an incredible U-turn by staying at Chelsea - just weeks after it appeared certain he would leave.

The striker's agent, Thierno Seydi, says his client will decide on his future within 10 days and revealed that Drogba was seriously considering starting next season at Stamford Bridge.

"Didier has given himself 10 days," Seydi told France Football. "If nothing happens, he will stay at Chelsea and extend his contract by two years.

"He doesn't see himself starting training with Chelsea in a few days' time and then joining. The situation is different today from how it was in November.

"Then, Didier was affected by the departure of manager Jose Mourinho, to whom he was very close, but today, there is nothing to say he won't stay at Chelsea."

Drogba's Chelsea career looked to have ended in ignominy when he was sent off in their Champions League Final defeat by Manchester United in May.

After a year of strained relations with the club hierarchy, Drogba was linked with a move to a top European club, with Barcelona, AC Milan and Inter Milan all linked with the 30-year-old.

But after new Blues manager Luiz Felipe Scolari claimed Drogba was "200 per cent" part of his plans, the Ivory Coast star is now reconsidering his future.

Chelsea's chances of signing Robinho have been dented after Real Madrid claimed he was worth more than his reported £47.7million valuation. Scolari is keen to sign his compatriot, who has been unsettled by suggestions that Madrid will offer him as bait in their attempt to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.

But Madrid president Ramon Calderon insisted: "Robinho is happy to continue with us."

Meanwhile, Inter Milan are ready to offer Adriano plus £7.9m in their bid to sign Frank Lampard from Chelsea.

Sources in Italy believe the 26-year-old Brazilian striker holds the key to the chances of landing the England midfielder.

But Wayne Bridge is staying at the Blues after agreeing a new four-year contract.
