Richard Dunne says Manchester City are not going to waste the chance to make an impact in Europe this season.
Tonight, City play EB/Streymur in the UEFA Cup first qualifying round. Ahead of the first leg in the Faroe Islands, skipper Dunne said: "A European run is something we have been looking for at this club over the last few years. Now we are here, we do not intend to throw away the opportunity we have been given by qualifying via the Fair Play League."
Mark Hughes lost out to AC Milan in the battle to sign Ronaldinho from Barcelona.
But City's manager said: "This has not set us back very much. There are other players we will try to bring into the club."
