Rayner can turn things Sussex's way
Evening Standard 18 Jul 2008Ollie Rayner could have an important role to play at Arundel today as County champions Sussex bid to press home their advantage over relegation candidates Hampshire.
Germany-born Rayner, Sussex's front-line spinner in the absence of Mushtaq Ahmed, has already claimed the wickets of Sean Ervine and John Crawley. The visitors were due to resume on 131 for five, 295 runs behind.
Surrey are also in danger of going down. Their poor form continued as they claimed only two Durham wickets at Guildford.
Kent face an uphill struggle at Taunton, where Somerset already lead by 348.
