West Brom fail in move for Collins

West Ham have refused West Brom permission to take defender James Collins on loan this season.
The Premier League new boys had hoped to sign the Wales international on a short-term deal with the option to make the switch permanent.
However, West Ham manager Alan Curbishley has assured Collins he features in his first-team plans this season.
With Lucas Neill still a target for Manchester City, Curbishley is unwilling to allow any of his defenders to leave.
