Confident: Fulham star Jimmy Bullard

Bullard's still on cloud nine

Jimmy Bullard says Fulham are flying into tonight's Carling Cup clash at home to Leicester.

Bullard is still buzzing over the way Roy Hodgson's side outplayed Arsenal for a 1-0 win at Craven Cottage at the weekend. And the midfielder believes that result has given Fulham the boost they needed after last season's desperate relegation fight.

He said: "Against Arsenal we showed the spirit we had here at the end of last season. You can't achieve what we did without spirit and desire, and beating a top team is bound to give you confidence."

Andy Johnson is unlikely to make his debut against League One Leicester, Hodgson preferring to let the striker recover properly from a thigh strain.

That could mean a start for Erik Nevland should Hodgson rest Bobby Zamora or Seol Ki-Hyeon. Fredrik Stoor is likely to get a run in place of John Pantsil at right-back.
