Kaka: I'm not heading to Chelsea

27.08.08

Chelsea look certain to fail in their world-record bid for Brazil star Kaka after he revealed he has no interest in leaving AC Milan.

The Blues were reported to be willing to bid a staggering £80million for the 26-year-old midfielder and to offer him £200,000-a-week wages.

The transfer was expected to be part of the deal which has taken Andriy Shevchenko back to the San Siro, but Kaka said: "Me going to Chelsea? I should help Milan to win the trophies we're up for this season.

"As long as my aims remain the same as Milan's I'll stay here."

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani also moved swiftly to dismiss suggestions his club were willing to sell their star player.

He said: "In the issue of Andriy, Kaka was never, ever talked about and so the fans have to stay calm."
