Aidy's threat
Evening Standard 16 Sep 2008Aidy Boothroyd has warned his players he will not tolerate another no-show against rock-bottom Plymouth tonight.
The Watford manager was furious with the team's performance in their 2-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, particularly after his squad were left unaffected by international call-ups.
Now Boothroyd wants a reaction against Plymouth, who have their own problems after a winless start in the Championship.
He said: “I was delighted when none of our lads got called up for internationals as I could have a bit of time working with them but I might send them all away next time.
“We need to get back to what we do best, which is winning. We've got to put things right quickly.”
