Boothroyd rues weak firepower
Evening Standard 17 Sep 2008Aidy Boothroyd admits his Watford side lack quality in attack following their 2-1 home defeat by Plymouth.
Watford's second loss in four days has seen them slip to 14th in the Championship and manager Boothroyd said: "We have the work-rate, the effort and organisation and we create chances, but it's about putting it in the net.
"In terms of effort and energy, we are Champions League, but in terms of end product, we're a long way off."
Plymouth were already two goals up before John-Joe O'Toole scored for Watford seven minutes from time.
Boothroyd added: "We have to lick our wounds and bounce back."
