Mark Hughes insists he feels no extra pressure as the £210million takeover of Manchester City nears a conclusion.
City are expected to finalise a deal with the Abu Dhabi United group by the end of the week.
Hughes, whose side face AC Omonia of Cyprus in the UEFA Cup tonight, said: "The pressure is always there, irrespective of the resources you have.
"You are expected to win and show progress. So that is what I have to do at City.
"We want to make an impression in the UEFA Cup as we feel European football will help us develop as a team. It is a big part of what we want to do."
